Our line of LUMISORB™ sorbitan oleates are widely used as emulsifiers in mining explosive applications. These low HLB, oil soluble emulsifiers ensure rapid emulsion formation under low shear as well as build viscosity. Sorbitan oleates are compatible with a variety of fuels and waxes making them suitable for both bulk and packaged explosives. They can be combined with other emulsifiers to enhance stability and velocity of detonation (VOD).
